Individuals who have travelled from or passed through a country on the list where travel to the UK is banned (the ‘Red list’) in the last 10 days before arrival must quarantine and undertake 2 PCR tests when they return to the UK.

You should not travel to Red or Amber list countries or territories.

If you have been in a country or territory on the Red list in the 10 days before you arrive in England, you will need to agree to book and pay for a quarantine package before you complete your passenger locator form and begin your return journey to the UK.

Your quarantine package will include your managed quarantine hotel, quarantine transport and your travel test package for COVID-19 tests on day 2 and day 8 of quarantine. You can only book your managed quarantine hotel within a 14-day window before arrival. You cannot book it any further in advance.

Tests for Red list arrivals who are required to quarantine in Managed Quarantine Facilities can only be delivered by the official government provider.

However, you will still need to book a Fit to Travel (or Fit to Fly) test before you leave England. This must be booked via a private provider.
